Driving Directions

From Florida’s Turnpike:
 Exit at Delray Beach/Atlantic Ave. Eastbound. Proceed East on Atlantic Avenue. Once you have passed the I-95 corridor, you will be entering Downtown Delray Beach.
From I-95: 
Take Exit #52/Atlantic Ave. – Eastbound. Turn East onto Atlantic Avenue. You will be entering Downtown Delray Beach. ***** BE ADVISED – Once Atlantic Ave. is shut down from West 5th Ave. to A1A for the parade, at around 8 AM – It will be extremely hard getting into the downtown area, and parking garages. Plan on alternate routes if you can’t make it before 10 AM.

Ground transportation

Uniformed Emergency Service personnel who are coming in from out of the country, out of town, out of state, and need to be picked up at the airport, please e-mail us and include your cell phone number along with flight or travel itineraries / Names / Dates / Times

Honor Guards and uniformed personnel who arrive and drop their civilian clothing off at DBFD Station-1, can start walking East on the South side of Atlantic Ave., and will be picked up by FD passenger vans and golf carts to be brought down to the staging area.

Parking and Viewing the Parade

Viewing the parade

The highest concentration of parade spectators will be downtown in the area of the railroad tracks between East 2nd and 3rd Aves. It is recommended that you stay away from this area and set yourself up for viewing the parade between Swinton Ave. and West 5th Ave. on Atlantic Ave.

Parking Facilities

Tips for using parking lots properly and safely

  • Make note of where your car is parked (avenue and street, parking lot name).
  • Beach parking areas are metered and accept all U.S. coins and Delray Beach Smart Cards. Credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, and American Express) are accepted in all beach area parking lots.
  • No dogs are allowed east of Ocean Boulevard. Please do not leave pets in parked vehicles.
  • Public parking lots are unattended. Never leave your keys or pay anyone to park.
  • Do not leave items in plain view inside vehicle.

Parking Fees

Parking meter fees in the beach area parking lots and on-street are required starting at 9:30 AM Monday through Thursday and 7:00 AM on Friday through Sunday. Fees are not required for on-street parking after 8:00 PM; however, fees are due in the parking lots until departure.

The fee is $1.50 per hour and all meters, accept all U.S. coins, with the exception of pennies, or the Delray Beach Smart Card, (available at Utility Billing). Credit cards (MasterCard, Visa and American Express) are accepted in all Beach Parking Lots.

 

Parking Garages

Downtown Delray Beach provides two public garages. A $5.00 fee is charged on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, after 5:00 p.m. and during select special events.
